MVP Insurance Requirements

MVP Aero Academy requires all students and renters to carry renters insurance. Minimum property damage coverage of $20,000 is required. Coverage is available from a variety of sources, is relatively inexpensive and will also cover airplanes rented elsewhere. Students and renters may also purchase this coverage on an hourly basis from MVP. Please check at the front desk for details.

Liability insurance should also be considered by each individual and most aviation insurance companies require a basic liability policy in order to purchase the "property damage"coverage.

MVP requires that any training in MVP aircraft be conducted ONLY by instructors approved by MVP Aero Academy, Inc.

Aircraft Rental Insurance Requirements

(Effective July 1, 2007)

Pre-Private License

  • Liability insurance at the discretion of the renter
  • Hull damage minimum of $20,000

Post-Private Licenses

  • Liability insurance at the discretion of the renter
  • Hull damage minimum of $20,000 on single engine aircraft (non-complex)
  • Hull damage minimum of $50,000 on complex single engine, and multi engine aircraft. (Arrow and Duchess)
  • Damage Waiver $25/hour (fixed gear aircraft only)
