Flight Safety Program Rules
Dispatch responsibility
- Night Flying — PIC must be instrument rated
- Aircraft may not take off if the crosswind component is greater than 10 kts, without CFI approval
- A pilot who has not flown the make and model in the last 90days, must fly the same make and model with a CFI who will authorize the flight, before taking the aircraft.
- A pilot must carry renters insurance with liability limits not less than $250,000 and hull damage not less than $10,000. For multi engine pilots multi engine insurance must be purchased.
Pilot Responsibilities
- Student pilots must fill up at every stop on a cross-country, MVP will reimburse the total amount for fuel. No leg will be planned to be longer than half the fuel capacity of the aircraft.
- Student pilot cross wind component will set by the CFI at or below 5 kts
- All landing in an RG will be full stop landings.
- Rental pilots will have renter insurance minimum $10,000 hull and $100,000 liability.
- Each student will have a POH for the aircraft flown, a PTS and check ride question book for the check ride to be taken.
- Taxi speed will be no faster than a fast walk or a slow jog.
